Mace Group – Brown Brothers Engineers Australia & New Zealand and Kelair Pumps Australia
Location: Head Office Christchurch, 6 sites in New Zealand and 6 sites in Australia.
Summary: The CEO of Mace Group and the CEO of the subsidiary business Brown Brothers Engineers collectively engaged me in early 2015 following a reorganization of the compliance management group. The overall business need was securing improvements and adoption of an integrated health and safety management system across the New Zealand and Australia businesses.
To achieve that objective, it was agreed that the subsidiary businesses would work to achieve AS/NZS 4801 certification as soon as possible with an ambitious target date of December 2015.
By the end 2015 the 150 workers of Brown Brothers Engineers New Zealand and Australia, as well as another wholly owned subsidiary (Kelair Pumps Australia), had achieved certification without any major non-conformances.
Company Profile: Why Mace Group Engaged With Think What If
The executive management recognised a need to galvanise the workers behind a single objective of certification to secure the operational improvements of a fully integrated compliant health and safety management system across New Zealand and all states of Australia.
I had initially provided services and advice to the CEO of Mace Group in New Zealand prior to 2015 for over 4 years, assisting the Health & Safety Manager with their WSMP accreditation.
Our Key Initiatives and Outcomes: My work with the Mace Group has been incredibly rewarding since 2015. The management and workers demonstrated exceptional commitment to adopt new practices and improve cultural performance. They have embedded processes that ensure proactive management of risk and compliance to a very high standard in a short space of time.
